Kampen City
Kampen is a city and municipality in the province of Overijssel, the Netherlands. The city is a member of the former Hanseatic League, a 13th – 17th century trading league with a rich trading and shipping history. The city has an impressive collection of historical monuments and modern retail shops to reflect its rich history.
Kampen needed a way to engage with tourists to effectively highlight the cities many historical monuments, shops and stories. Not only did the app need to promote the cities main attractions, but it needed to do so in a way that allows for large numbers of people to safely navigate the cities tightly packed medieval streets.

Kampen City Guide app
The app was developed in partnership with creative producer Soekky Stories who provided the design and content support. The app features themed GPS walks and treasure hunt games that encourage people to explore the city via themed routes, which naturally disperses tourists across the city.
The app uses a modified white-label app template and the Locatify CMS for managing the app content, including tour maps, points of interest, game challenges and other media elements.
