CINE Project Wins Interreg NPA Award for Digital Innovation in Cultural Heritage

We’re honored to share that the CINE Project has been awarded the Interreg NPA Award in the category “Reimagining Cultural Heritage through Digital Opportunities” at the NPA Conference & 25th Anniversary held in Bodø, Norway.

The CINE Project (Connected Culture and Natural Heritage in a Northern Environment) has redefined how we experience history and the environment. By combining digital technology with immersive storytelling, CINE explores the relationship between cultural heritage and climate change—inviting audiences to see our shared history through a more connected, interactive lens.

Through innovative digital tools such as augmented reality, 3D models, and location-based storytelling, CINE has inspired museums, educators, and cultural institutions across the Northern Periphery and Arctic to engage visitors in new, meaningful ways.

This recognition highlights the power of collaboration and creativity in preserving our cultural and natural heritage for future generations.

A heartfelt thank you to all our incredible partners and contributors who made this possible!

👉 The CINE Project’s award has also been featured in several media outlets, including the Museum Nord and the NRK.
