The recently updated Friend in Iceland app is the ideal partner for your self-drive travels in Iceland. The app is presented by Holdur, the Icelandic Europcar rental franchise in partnership with local tour agency Friend in Iceland. The app provides travel and safety Information, including up to date weather forecast, current road conditions, and user manuals for rented campers and motorhomes. In addition, customers can also enjoy GPS enabled self-drive tours of popular driving routes, and can book local tourist activities and dining reservations.
Automatic Tourist Guide App
The app uses the latest Automatic Tourist Guide app template which features a modern design, with customisable home page background image and card style buttons for linking to the main app features. The app features, such as GPS tour guides, bookable activities, interactive map and local services, and additional safety, weather and vehicle info – is all managed via the Creator CMS.
Self-Drive Tour Guides
The guided self-drive tours use GPS to trigger media content on location and provide navigation to each point of interest. The app features popular routes such as The Golden Circle, Snæfellsnes, South Coast, Ring Road, Reykjanes Peninsular and more.
