The World Forest Forum is a foundation involved in developing solutions for sustainable development and use of forest. Their long-term goals include the global foundation pursuing projects that produce lasting results and acting as an incentive as well as a platform for taking care of and developing the forest’s resources.
Challenge
They wanted to provide new solutions for the sustainable development and use of forest. The purpose is to make the forest more accessible to visitors and to find business opportunities for both forest owners and ecotourism companies.
Solution
In their effort to engage all stakeholders who see the forest as a sustainable and eternally renewable resource, they partnered with Locatify to develop an app. This app was a prototype developed together with the ecotourism company Granö Beckasin, which is an eco-resort with a little hotel, camping, restaurant and fun guided activities. The app features outside tours and treasure hunt games.

- Points are awarded for finding locations and for completing challenges
