Solution

Locatify created a custom app using the Automatic Tourist Guide App template with some additional customisations. The app features Map Markers for GT Places, GPS enabled tours with a custom logic to open the destination points in Google Maps navigation mode, so the tour audio plays over top of the directions. The app also features a WhatsApp operator link, safety video and local weather widget.

The app uses the Automatic Tourist Guide template which is designed as a destination guide with maps, important info, themed GPS tours, weather and local points of interest.

Locatify Creator CMS Features

This app uses outdoor GPS tour guides, map markers with categories and a customisable home page menu with pages for additional information such as client website, announcements, WhatsApp support and about the app.

Customisation

The client provided branding assets such as app icon, loading image, banner logo and chose the theme colours. The app also features a custom algorithm for copying the tour route to Google Maps so the user can listen to the tour audio on top of the Google Maps navigation.
