Charles Lea Center provides support services that enhance the quality of life for approximately 1,600 children and adults in Spartanburg County with intellectual disabilities and/or chronic medical conditions. SimplyHome designs and installs customisable assistive technology systems that support the independence of people ageing in place or living with disabilities

Challenge

Working closely with the SimplyHome team, Locatify was given the task of creating a BLE Beacon enabled iPad guidance and learning system for the interactive Johnathan Dodd Technology Training Center.

Solution

Locatify created a indoor guide iOS app and SimplyHome installed a network of BLE Beacons throughout the centre. Guests and staff are provided with iPads with the preinstalled Easy Tour app which shows a floor plan of the building with zones marked on the map. As guests move through the building, content is triggered relevant to their location as the iPad connects with the BLE Beacons.

The Process

Quick setup, thoughtfully chosen templates and an easy to use content management system makes it easy for anyone to get an app.

Indoor Tour App

The app uses a white-label template for apps with one tour. The home page explains the contents of the tour, before displaying a floor plan with stations in the tour.

Locatify Creator CMS Features

This app uses an indoor BLE Beacon enabled tour guide which guides users around the building, with media files and learning tasks triggered at each station.

Customisation

The client provided branding assets such as app icon, loading image, banner logo and chose the theme colours. The client also provided the floor image for the tour.
